About
I'm Jake, a freelance cinematographer based out of Sydney. I have and still do work across many aspects of video & film, right through from pre-production to post-production.
Throughout my career I've spent a lot of time working within both traditional cinema and television broadcast standards, and creating bespoke digital media & social media content with the forever changing and demanding digital landscape.
I have over 10 years of industry experience and have done work for some very recognisable brands such as Audi, The ICONIC, JUNKEE Media, News Corp, AMEX, Qantas Airways, MTV, Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand, NSW Government, Pacific Magazines, Australian Radio Network and Nova Entertainment just to name a few.

Being behind the camera is where I'm most at home. Over the years I've shot a copious amount of live music, product pieces, drama, sport, documentary, timelapse, and interviews.
I first learnt to shoot on 16mm film and have therefore carried vital cinematography skills and practices with me throughout my career.

Although I’d like to be shooting 8 days a week, it’s not always possible to book that many cinematography jobs. When I’m not on set I like to book myself post-production work to both keep me busy, and also to keep me sharp with the fast-changing post-production landscape.
I’m very familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro, FCPX, Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
